Skillswap event: CSS Design: Building Blocks

by Matthias Willerich on January 17 2006, 09:25

Although it's the first time I'm mentioning SkillSwap here (forgot to add their last event), I think it's definetely worth supporting.

SkillSwap provide Brighton and anyone from anywhere else who is willing to travel with web design and new media training, for free.
Taken from their about page:

The idea is that on a semi-regular basis, people from the local new media community volunteer to give up some of their free time to train a small group of their peers in a subject that interests them.

The setting will be small and informal and the subjects can be anything from hardcore programming topics through to softer business skills. Basically anything you’d be happy talking about that you think would be of interest to the new media community.

This time Dave Shea, the CSS Zen Garden creator, will be sharing his CSS experience for a 3 hour after-work event, talking about the process of creating CSS based design, from mockup all the way to the finished site.

When:
Fri 20th January 2006
Where:
The BBC building on Queens Road, Brighton
Cost:
free, preferrably you'll want to volunteer in the future

For more info check the SkillSwap event page, although I recommend checking out the whole concept.
