I try your method on a Acer Aspire 3050 with wirless card Broadcom BCM4318 with Fedora Core 6 and can’t connect at my wireless router. This is the error:

SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
Failed to bring up eth1.

after configure eth1 with Network device control.
If you have any ideea please help me !!!
